  Training scientists for the future

EBCRC's education and training programme will ensure that the Australian environmental biotechnology industry is provided with the necessary skilled people.

Our goal is to create a pool of skilled practitioners including post-doctoral researchers that meet the needs of industry and find new career paths in industry.

Post-doctoral fellowships are offered to attract appropriately skilled high quality researchers, especially expatriates, as well as high calibre graduates for the PhD program.

We also provide training in other, non-scientific areas such as leadership and media skills as well as providing background training in IP management and commercialisation.

Students and researchers also have the opportunity to travel to conferences in Australia and overseas, enhancing their professional knowledge and developing networking skills.

Students can also attend field days and seminars with to make the greatest use of our team of skilled and knowledgeable scientists.

The education programme will provide the human resources and intellectual capital to drive a commercially viable environmental biotechnology sector in Australia.
